Fisher and I brought home a few herbs and flowers from the nursery to plant a few months back and I’m pleased to report none of them has withered. My tiny gardener has done a wonderful job of caring for the plants, watering them nearly everyday.
And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so.
We planted lavender, parsley and rosemary and have recently added Thyme. It’s been great to be able to just step outside and cut a few sprigs off whenever a recipe calls and I’ve been infusing my water with lavender or rosemary to try to encourage myself to drink more. It’s also fun to sometimes just go out there and taste what is growing, right from the ground. There is just something so right about that.
